Marina Acton and the Discipline of Giving
There are thousands of people around the world—soldiers, children, families, immigrants—who can say thank you. Marina Acton does not ask for that gratitude. She considers the work unfinished, and the responsibility ongoing.
Our CAUSES
Crisis Response.
Global Health.
Restoring Hope
Marina Action Philanthropic Foundation is dedicated to supporting Ukrainian children affected by conflict, displacement, and humanitarian crisis.
Marina Acton humanitarian work has been defined by urgency and endurance. During the war in Ukraine, Marina Acton committed more than $1 million to relocate displaced Ukrainian families to Turkey—leasing townhouses and covering their living expenses for years, not months.
Why Ukrainian Children Need Help
Thousands of children have been forced to flee their homes, separated from families, or exposed to trauma and instability. Many lack access to:
Safe shelter
Education and learning resources
Medical and psychological care
Basic nutrition and daily necessities
As a mother of two, she places children first. Through the children’s initiative We Are the World, founded by Quincy Jones, she contributed $100,000 to address childhood poverty worldwide—supporting education, nutrition, and basic human needs for the most vulnerable.
What We Do
In an age when philanthropy is often marketed as an image, Marina Acton practices it as responsibility.
Emergency Relief
Providing immediate aid including food, clothing, hygiene kits, and safe housing for displaced children and families.
Education & Learning Support
She also supported Ukraine’s defense effort with practical, life-saving aid—financing bulletproof vests, transportation, and essential medications for soldiers at the front. The goal was singular: save lives. Speed mattered more than recognition.
Health & Psychological Care
Children were never an afterthought. Marina Acton helped relocate Ukrainian children to the west of the country, placing them in protected camps far from active combat zones. There, children received shelter, education, and psychological therapy to address trauma and war-induced psychological illness. Safety first. Healing next.
Community & Long-Term Support
In February 2019, in New York City, she again supported amfAR with a $250,000 donation and the auction of a diamond-and-emerald earring set created by her own jewelry brand.
Our Impact
In the United States, her reach extended to undocumented immigrants—Russians, Indians, Mexicans, Africans, and others—families living in legal and economic limbo. Marina Acton provided food, housing assistance, and emergency support so parents could feed their children and survive with dignity. Nationality, paperwork, or public credit were irrelevant.
Across continents and causes, a pattern emerges. Marina Acton does not give for applause. She gives to stabilize, to protect, to heal, and to move people forward. Her charity is decisive, substantial, and deeply personal—guided by empathy, motherhood, and an unshakable belief that power carries obligation.
How You Can Help
By Donation
In solidarity with Ukraine’s ongoing healthcare needs, entrepreneur and philanthropist Marina Acton provided a $22,000 donation to support the vital medical services of Pheophania Clinic in Ukraine. The contribution is dedicated to improving patient care, expanding access to essential treatment, and strengthening local medical capacity during a time of heightened demand and constrained resources.
This gift will be used to:
• Procure critical medical supplies and equipment.
• Support operational costs to ensure continuity of care.
• Enhance community health outreach and preventive services.
We operate with transparency, accountability, and compassion. Every action we take is guided by our commitment to protect children and invest in their future.
Together, we can turn hardship into hope.

Marina Acton Backs Children’s Initiative With $100,000 Gift By Staff Reporter
In an era when philanthropy often competes with personal branding, Marina Acton has taken a quieter, more deliberate route.
As a mother of two, Marina Acton has repeatedly said that children remain at the center of her charitable focus. This month, Marina Acton contributed $100,000 to the children’s initiative “We Are the World,” founded by music producer Quincy Jones. The contribution is earmarked to support programs addressing childhood poverty worldwide, including access to education, nutritional assistance and basic human needs.
